All the cricket fans have had their eyes on the much awaited 1st Semi final match of the mega event ICCWC2019 on Tuesday, July 9 when the rains in washed away the match mid-way. Winning the toss, New Zealand decided to bat first. Losing early wickets turned out to be a disadvantage more than expected for the black caps which hindered them from getting score as good as expected. Losing five wickets, the team was just at 211 after 46.1 overs. Ross Taylor and Tom Latham were batting at 67 and 3 when the rain stopped the play.

The predicted rains led ICC reserve an extra day for each of the three matches remaining. The paused match is supposed to be continued today at 3pm from the stage that it was stopped at. Let us see if the Indian 'in-form' team would be able to win the game and consecutively for the third time enter the finals of the WC. The weather forecast for the reserve day are not good either and they don't promise clear sky during the game. If the match is disruppted today, the team having higher position in the points table would go to the next stage, as per the ICC rules giving India an advantage if rains dismiss the game.
