An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was detonated in a vehicle near the mobile convoy of the army on Monday that left nine army officials and two civilians injured. The IEDs were placed by the terrorist groups in the Pulwama District of Jammu & Kashmir not farther than 27KM from the place where the Pulwama Attack actually took place in february in this year.

The army personnels were on the Multi- vehicle patrol of the 44-RR when the IED was detonated. It injured the personnel travelling in the bullet and mine-proof casper vehicle. The injured officers were admitted in the 92 Base hospital where they died. The attack had been described as a failed attempt of attacking the convoy by the army officials.

The attack was planned to collide the vehicle IED with the army patrol vehicles
