One of the very costly waxes, i.e., whale's vomit had been seized by the Ghatkopar Police. The police had also arrested a man named Rahul Tupare, 53, on Saturday who had come to Ghatkopar to illegaly sell Ambergris worth Rupees 1.7 crores. Tupare is a resident of Nagpur.

Ambergis is a wax that is secreted by the whales and is easily found floating in the tropical seas. This material, also known as whale spew is often used in making perfumes by many companies. Tapure during questioning revealed that he bought this vomit from a man from Gujarat. Police had now arrested another person Lalit Vyas, 44.

Experts have examined and declared the seized material as Ambergis. Suspecting the involvement of more people, a team had been sent to Gujarat to investigate more into the matter. Deputy Commissioner of Police, zone 7, Akhilesh kumar Singh in his statement said that the two men have been arrested under the provisions of the Wildlife Protection Act which says that selling any part of an endangered species is illegal.
